Making Vermiglio was like painting on a moving canvas: every details, from cinematography to costumes, was chosen to evoke powerful and authentic emotions. The film by Maura Delpero has entered the shortlist of 15 titles competing for an Oscar® in the Best International Feature Film category (Italy). Vermiglio has been nominated for Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language at the 82nd Golden Globes and for two categories at the 37th European Film Awards: European Film and European Director (Maura Delpero). It also won the Gold Hugo for Best Film in the International Feature Film Competition at the 60th Chicago International Film Festival.
