La giuria YLab: un laboratorio formativo
Per il Prix Italia 2026 è istituito il Premio YLab Award. La giuria (YLab Jury) sarà composta da studenti universitari iscritti a corsi di laurea afferenti al settore dell’audiovisivo, della comunicazione o delle lingue e culture straniere (Scienze della Comunicazione, Scuole di cinema, Accademie di belle arti, Università di lingue, ecc.) che, secondo il loro giudizio, premieranno il miglior programma tra tutti i 27 finalisti del concorso.

Modalità di partecipazione
Al termine della fase di prevalutazione delle giurie internazionali del Prix Italia (prevista per il 2 settembre 2026), la giuria degli studenti si insedierà ufficialmente e inizierà le proprie attività nel corso di un incontro online formativo, curato dall’organizzazione del Prix Italia, durante il quale verranno illustrati il Concorso, le specificità dell’edizione e le linee guida di valutazione.
I componenti della giuria avranno accesso all’archivio del Prix Italia, per visionare, individualmente o in gruppi di lavoro, le opere a loro sottoposte.
Dopo una visione preliminare delle opere, la giuria si riunirà nuovamente il 25 settembre 2026 per eleggere il suo Presidente e uno studente coordinatore per ciascuna università, in modo da organizzare il proseguimento del lavoro.
Entro il 28 settembre 2026, data di inizio del Prix Italia, i componenti della giuria dovranno aver completato la visione delle opere.
Durante il Prix Italia 2026 (dal 28 settembre al 2 ottobre), i componenti della giuria avranno l’opportunità di seguire gli incontri face to face (in lingua inglese) organizzati tra gli autori/registi dei prodotti finalisti e i giurati delle relative categorie del Concorso internazionale e di partecipare al dibattito.

Al termine dei lavori, la giuria si riunirà (in presenza) per la discussione finale e la proclamazione del vincitore. Sarà cura del Presidente redigere il verbale di giuria con le motivazioni di assegnazione del premio.
Il Premio YLab 2026 sarà consegnato al rappresentante del programma vincitore nell’ambito della cerimonia di premiazione del Prix Italia.
La partecipazione alle attività della giuria YLab potrà dare diritto allo studente al riconoscimento di crediti formativi, nella misura definita dagli ordinamenti didattici dei singoli corsi di laurea.

The YLab Jury: An Educational Laboratory
The YLab Award has been established for the Prix Italia 2026. The jury (YLab Jury) will be composed of university students enrolled in degree programs in the audiovisual, communication, or foreign languages ​​and cultures sectors (Communication Sciences, Film Schools, Fine Arts Academies, Language Universities, etc.) who, based on their judgment, will award the best programme among all 27 finalists in the competition.

Participation Procedure
At the end of the pre-evaluation phase of the Prix Italia international juries (scheduled for September 2, 2026), the student jury will officially take office and begin its activities during an online training meeting, hosted by the Prix Italia organization, during which the Competition, the specifics of this edition, and the evaluation guidelines will be explained.
The jury members will have access to the Prix Italia archive to watch, individually or in working groups, the works submitted to them.
After a preliminary review of the works, the jury will meet again on September 25, 2026, to elect its President and a student coordinator for each university, in order to organize the prograssion of its work.
The jury members must have completed reviewing the works by September 28, 2026, the start date of the Prix Italia.
During the 2026 Prix Italia Festival (from September 28 to October 2), the jury members will have the opportunity to attend the face-to-face meetings (in English) organized between the authors/directors of the finalist works and the jurors of the relevant categories of the International Competition, and to participate in the debate.

At the end of the works, the jury will meet (in person) for the final discussion and the announcement of the winner. The President will be responsible for drafting the jury minutes with the reasons for awarding the prize.
The 2026 YLab Award will be awarded to the representative of the winning programme during the Prix Italia awards ceremony.
Participation in the YLab jury's activities may entitle the student to the recognition of academic credits, in the amount defined by the educational regulations of the individual degree courses.
