Education, careers, family, politics, sports, art, and… men: where do we stand today with gender equality? |

The Netherlands NPO De Marker (The Marker) More... Content Manager: Wieneke van Vucht. Producing Organisation: BNNVARA. The Marker is an online platform targeting an audience of 17-22 years old with reliable journalistic content. As a counterbalance to influencers and fake news, we make sure to provide news, background information and reliable opinions. Marker's videos are between 1 minute and 2:30 minutes long. We address the target group where they are active: Tiktok and Instagram. We also make in-depth podcasts on Spotify. We join the conversation on Reddit by posting questions and listening to what our audience has to say. On 22 July 2024, we made a video about Congo, as part of our All Eyes On series, in which we shed light on the underexposed disaster areas. This episode was the second in the series. Our creator Gijs (then 21) did extensive research, used reliable journalistic sources and spoke to a person from Congo. We made our content recognisable to the target group, for example by mentioning that your phone probably also contains raw materials related to the conflict. We explained the situation and tried to be constructive. The video was seen and shared a lot, even outside of TikTok and Instagram. The series went on for months and eventually comprised 16 videos. We are considering starting again. |

Switzerland SRG SSR More... Direction: Hans Block, Moritz Riesewieck, Patrick M. Müller. Project Manager: Patrick M. Müller. Designers: Wolfgang Wiler, Loris Bosco. Developer: Flavio Reinhard. Website Editor: Philipp Bornhauser. Producing Organisation: SRF, Docmine Production. Coproducing Organisation: Beetz Brothers. Eternal You is a transmedia project about digital immortality. Through a documentary film, three scrollstories, and seven explainer videos, it follows people who use AI to communicate with the dead – driven by grief, guilt, or hope. It reveals deeply personal stories and raises urgent ethical questions: what happens when mourning becomes a business? When history is programmed, consciousness simulated, and technology becomes a new religion? Eternal You explores a future where death may no longer be final – and asks what still makes us truly human. Each format stands on its own, yet together they form a rich, multi-entry experience. The project solves a major challenge of digital storytelling: distribution. Its platform-agnostic, modular design allows each format to be seamlessly integrated into the media environments people already inhabit. Rather than asking audiences to migrate, it meets them where they are, and gives them something worth staying for. |

Coproducing Organisation: NPO Innovation. Your Vaccination Against Disinformation is an innovative digital video series produced by the Pointer journalism collective (KRO-NCRV), designed specifically for Generation Z. Launched ahead of the European elections, the campaign has garnered over 1.5 million views, more than half of which came from non-urban areas. Independent research showed that 50% of Gen Z viewers felt more protected from disinformation after watching the videos.
