Eternal You Transmedia

Direction: Hans Block, Moritz Riesewieck, Patrick M. Müller. Project Manager: Patrick M. Müller. Designers: Wolfgang Wiler, Loris Bosco. Developer: Flavio Reinhard. Website Editor: Philipp Bornhauser. Producing Organisation: SRF, Docmine Production. Coproducing Organisation: Beetz Brothers.

Eternal You is a transmedia project about digital immortality. Through a documentary film, three scrollstories, and seven explainer videos, it follows people who use AI to communicate with the dead – driven by grief, guilt, or hope. It reveals deeply personal stories and raises urgent ethical questions: what happens when mourning becomes a business? When history is programmed, consciousness simulated, and technology becomes a new religion? Eternal You explores a future where death may no longer be final – and asks what still makes us truly human. Each format stands on its own, yet together they form a rich, multi-entry experience. The project solves a major challenge of digital storytelling: distribution. Its platform-agnostic, modular design allows each format to be seamlessly integrated into the media environments people already inhabit. Rather than asking audiences to migrate, it meets them where they are, and gives them something worth staying for.

ARTillery is a digital project by Suspilne Kultura that explores new Ukrainian music and its transformation during the invasion. The project includes videos in various formats and for numerous digital platforms.

BBC EastEnders – Spiked Vertical Series

Actors: Molly Rainford, Francesca Henry, Bobby Brazier, Matthew Morrison. Executive Producer: Chris Clenshaw. Coproducing Organisation: BBC Studios.

EastEnders is an iconic BBC soap opera which has been broadcast on BBC One since February 1985. In July 2024, EastEnders broke new ground with Spiked – a powerful storyline that extended beyond TV to reach young audiences where they live: on social media. As Anna Knight's spiking experience aired on linear TV, we launched a bespoke five-part digital mini-series on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook; shot as scripted vertical video and told from a first-person perspective. A QR code in the main show linked viewers to the series, with TikTok supporting via a dedicated landing page. EastEnders and BBC platforms amplified content online and on social media. Released the same week as the issue being raised in the King's Speech, the activation was also covered on BBC News at Ten – BBC flagship news programme. EastEnders Spiked earned 5.1M views and 1.5M minutes watched, drawing a new path for transmedia storytelling in the UK.

Presented by: Milly Chu, Commissioning Executive, Digital Development for BBC Drama

Milly leads digital development for BBC Drama. She works with Commissioners and Producers to create new forms of storytelling in transmedia spaces such as Gaming, Social Media and Journalism.
