Welcome to the heart of Rai’s magic.
The Rai Museum of Radio and Television is more than a museum, it’s an unforgettable immersive journey, free and open to everyone, where technology, sounds and images bring stories to life.
Where will the Radio and Tv Museum take you first?
Into the experience, through interactive moments and atmospheres that move you. A place that celebrates the richness of the RAI universe and shares beauty and harmony in their deepest form.
Our Vision guides every choice:
Embrace the present, enhance the past, open up to the future.
That’s why we tell the story of radio and television not only as technologies, but as emotions, connecting generations, shaping society, and continuing to evolve alongside our country.
The journey begins in the first area where the telegraph, earliest wireless signals, and pioneering communication prototypes reveal the daring spirit of pioneers, the very origins of a path that led to the birth of radio.
The exhibition develops through immersive environments, luminous sets and interactive locations where children, teens and adults can experience in a playful and engaging way how the voices and images reach Italian homes.
The area dedicated to Your Radio and Television experience allows you to play with historical apparatus that still works, becoming a cameraman, singer or even the next big TV host.
Alongside iconic costumes from artists like Raffaella Carrà and Mike Bongiorno, and equipment that shaped the country’s history we embrace unique treasures: Fred Buscaglione's pink piano from the 1930s, a symbol of the music that made history, and an area dedicated to children's television, with a tribute to Albero Azzurro and Melevisione, which attended millions of children and teens as they grew up.
The Museum also preserves its own story: from 1939 when the first project was stopped by the war, to its exhibition to the public in 1984, and the official opening in 1993. In 2020 a complete renewal transformed the historic collection into a contemporary, accessible, and engaging experience.
Hosted inside the Rai Production Center Piero Angela on Via Verdi 16 in Turin, the Museum is also a working studio open to the public, where live broadcasts and productions take place, turning every visit into a unique behind-the-scenes experience at RAI.
Join us in Turin for an extraordinary journey through past, present, and future: a new way to discover communication, RAI, and perhaps even a little bit of yourself.
