Sergio Zavoli and the history of Prix Italia

17 aprile 2020 ore 16:31

Sergio Zavoli's life is intertwined with the history of public broadcasting in our country. Including the experience and the path of Prix Italia. It is no coincidence that Zavoli himself recently stressed that "if there is a distinctive thing about Rai, it’s having kept alive the greatest contest of civilised life dedicated to TV and radio with extraordinary elegance." For the Prix Italia is Rai after all and, through its various and historical editions, has contributed to enhancing the very identity of our country. As Zavoli says with finesse and intelligence, “one cannot renounce the things that have determined a primary trait of the country. You can sacrifice many things but the origin of your identity, because this would mean giving up on yourself ". This was said by Sergio Zavoli who, with his professional teaching, represents a piece, although significant, of the history of Rai in our country.
